The Department of Marketing at California State University, San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for part‑time Lecturer positions. Appointments may last from one day to a full semester. Applicant pools are used to fill short‑term temporary Lecturer positions across the campus, and may be closed effective May 31 each year. Applications are valid only for the current academic year; applicants for the next year must apply to the new pool by June 15.

Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in business or a related discipline.
  • Industry experience in a finance‑related position.
  • Compliance with the California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy – employment is limited to California.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community.
Salary
  • Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
  • Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month.
  • Classified under Lecturer A – AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month.
