SummaryThe Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator will be directly responsible for leading outreach and recruitment efforts for the K-16 Software Engineering Pathway program. This innovative program is designed through a strategic partnership with school districts in Riverside County and Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC), aiming to support high school and community college students in Riverside as they transition to California State University San Marcos (CSUSM)’s Software Engineering program.
As the principal outreach and recruitment lead for the Software Engineering Pathway program, the Coordinator is responsible for rigorous ongoing assessment of outreach efforts, tracking recruitment performance, providing admissions and program information, responding to inquiries, evaluating and processing admissions applications as well as implementing improvements to enhance student transfer rates from Riverside County high schools and MSJC to CSUSM’s software engineering degree program.
This is a grant-funded, part-time position. Position is based at the Temecula campus. Hybrid schedule is an option.
Qualifications- Education: Equivalent to graduation from a 4-year college or university in a related field, including or supplemented by upper division or graduate course work in counseling techniques, interviewing, and conflict resolution where such are job-related.
- Experience: Possession of these knowledge and abilities is typically demonstrated through the equivalent of 3-years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience. One year in the program area to which assigned may be preferred but is not required.
- A master’s degree in Education, Counseling or a directly related field may be substituted for 1-year of experience.
