The Department of Psychology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part‑time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach PSYC 220:
Introductory Statistics in Psychology. Salary is commensurate with credential and experience.
Basic statistical methods for analysis of data in psychology; descriptive and inferential statistics; hypothesis testing; parametric tests of significance. Introduction to linear regression and correlation; analysis of variance; non‑parametric techniques. The role will also involve participation in low‑risk psychological experiments or completion of additional short papers.
Minimum qualifications- A master’s degree in psychology or a relevant field
- Successful experience teaching at the college level
- Work in California is a condition of employment
- A doctorate in Psychology or a relevant field
- Higher education experience teaching a particular class
- Research experience relevant to the specific course content
- Preference for applicants demonstrating intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and service
Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
- Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full‑time month
- CSU Classification Salary Range:
Lecturer A – $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month - CSU Classification Salary Range:
Lecturer B – $6,221 – $13,224 per full‑time month
