The Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management at California State University San Marcos seeks a part‑time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach a section of BUS 324:
Introduction to Business Analytics.

Course Description

This course introduces business analytics concepts and tools that are employed in various business functions. It is divided into two parts: predictive and prescriptive modeling/analytics. The predictive section covers statistical data analysis including descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, regression analysis, and data‑mining models. The prescriptive section focuses on deterministic optimization models, statistical software, and spreadsheet optimization.

Required Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in business administration or a related discipline.
  • Active, current industry experience in an analytics‑related position.
  • Compliance with California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy; employment must be performed in California.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A doctorate or equivalent degree.
  • Previous teaching experience at a four‑year university and/or community college.
  • Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving the campus community.
Salary
  • Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
  • Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month (Lecturer A – AY).
