Lecturer – Social Sciences Pool (Academic Year 2026/2027)
College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral and Social Sciences – Department of Social Sciences. This pool allows the University to fill short‑term Lecturer positions on an as‑needed basis throughout the 2026/27 academic year.

Temporary, ranging from one day to a whole semester; appointments may continue across academic years through rehiring.
- Master’s degree in a social science field (e.g., anthropology, border studies, communication, geography, history, linguistics, political science, psychology, sociology, women’s, gender, and sexuality studies).
- Expertise in a social science field.
- Experience teaching a social science field in higher education.
- Doctorate or equivalent in a social science field.
- Experience teaching upper‑division courses in a related social science field.
- Capacity to teach using interdisciplinary frameworks and/or perspectives.
- Evidence of intercultural competence and a commitment to serving our campus community.
- Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full‑time month.
- Salary ranges aligned with CSU classification:
Lecturer A – AY: $5,507–$6,677;
Lecturer B – AY: $6,221–$13,224 per full‑time month.
