The Department of Finance at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part‑time lecturers. The applicant pool is used to fill short‑term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This pool will be closed effective May 31 2027; to be considered for the next academic year, apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 15 2026.
Qualifications- A master’s degree in business or a related discipline
- Industry experience in a finance‑related position
- Enrollment in California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy: working in California is a condition of employment
- Previous teaching experience
- Preference for applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving our campus community in teaching and, as applicable, service
- Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month (Lecturer A – Academic Year Classification)
