Lecturer – Modern Language Studies, College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral and Social Sciences, California State University San Marcos. Academic Year 2026/2027.
Job OverviewPosition in a pool of part‑time lecturers. Salary commensurate with credential and experience. Appointments may range from one day to an entire semester. Applicants in the pool may be considered for short‑term temporary Lecturer positions across the campus and for potential rehiring. Positions are only available for the current academic year; the pool will close on May 31, 2026.
Minimum Qualifications- A master’s degree in Spanish, French, or German.
- Compliance with California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy: employment limited to California.
- ABD or doctorate degree in the language of instruction.
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving the campus community through teaching and service.
Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full‑time month.
CSU Classification Salary Range – Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month.
CSU Classification Salary Range – Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224 per full‑time month.
