The Theatre Department at California State University San Marcos is seeking a part‑time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach TA 307:
On‑Camera Acting. Successful candidates must have university teaching experience and an MFA or equivalent professional experience. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

Course Description

Provides hands‑on experience in acting for film and television. Students will work in various genres (e.g., commercials, romantic comedy, drama, etc.) and discuss acting techniques as they apply to film performance through practical projects, reading, written assignments and critiques.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master of Fine Arts in Theatre/Acting
  • At least 3 years of experience working with university students
  • Current website portfolio
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional acting/directing experience
  • Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving a diverse campus community
Compensation

Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month (Lecturer A – AY). Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
