The Department of Accounting at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.

Applications are only good for the current academic year. This pool is closed effective May 31st.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A master's degree in business or a related discipline
  • Industry experience in a finance-related position
  • Working in the State of California is a condition of employment, per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A doctorate degree or equivalent
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and, as applicable, service.
Salaries

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.

  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month (Lecturer A – AY)
