In this role, you have the opportunity to:

• Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor for instrumentation, controls, automation, and SCADA projects supporting water and wastewater clients in the West region.
• Lead and deliver I&C planning, design, and SCADA master planning efforts
  , while supporting business development pursuits and client relationships.
• Take ownership of project execution and coordination
  , guiding multi‑discipline teams, managing scope, schedule, and budgets, and representing Black & Veatch with clients and partners.

• Support growth strategy for the BV Water Solution Business in the West region by creating client relationships and acting as a liaison between the local design team, client, and remote design teams.
• Lead business development for I&C-related master plans and design projects, produce marketing content for pursuits, negotiate contracts, and lead projects.
• Pursue and lead SCADA assessments and master plans to advise utilities on upgrades or replacements of SCADA systems to support operations and maintenance.
• Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities and industrial water pursuits.
• Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects and coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects.
• Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing, and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues.
• Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities.

• The successful candidate will possess a mix of excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, demonstrated management capabilities, I&C design experience, and broad I&C technical knowledge.
• 10 years’ experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting
• 4 years’ experience in water/wastewater industry
• 2 years’ experience in project management and business development.

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience. Minimum of 11 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records) in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.
