Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Financial Aid Compliance Specialist is responsible for evaluating existing controls and practices and identifying areas for improvement in alignment with Federal Title IV regulations, requirements, and best practices. Serving as a regulatory resource for the Financial Aid and Scholarships team, the Specialist provides guidance, support, and contributes to the development of policies, business process documentation, and training materials.

The primary goal of the position is to ensure that all processes are consistent, uniform, and high-quality, while maintaining full compliance with applicable regulatory standards. Maintains overall responsibility for the continuing development and content management of the office website and all required consumer information disclosures.

Position Summary

Financial Aid Compliance Specialist (Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt II)

This is a full-time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay, Benefits, And Work Schedule

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $7,649 - $8,445 per month (step 15-20)

CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,797 - $8,445 per month

Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

  • This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
