Job Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean, the STEM Information Technology Specialist will provide support to CSTEM programs and faculty, particularly in the area of Computer Science and Engineering. This person plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, security, and innovation of the CSTEM IT needs and resources. Provides high-level technical support to faculty, staff, and students across Windows, Mac, and Linux environments, offering consultative assistance, training, and recommendations on emerging technologies that support teaching, research, and administrative functions.

This person is expected to partner with campus IITS to meet STEM programs' IT needs and faculty research IT needs. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, problem-solving, and proactive support, this position ensures that the CSTEM’s technology ecosystem operates efficiently and evolves with the changing needs of academic and research environments.

Position Summary

STEM Technology Specialist (Technology Support Specialist II)

This is a full-time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay, Benefits, And Work Schedule

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,787 - $6,141 per month (Step 1
- 4)

CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,787 - $8,430 per month

Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
