Equipment Technician, College Of Science, Technology, Engineering And Mathematics
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean, the purpose of the Equipment Technician is to provide skilled repair of minor equipment, maintenance and minor modification of standard and specialty laboratory equipment to the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry (80%) and other science and engineering departments (20%) in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Major responsibilities include maintaining equipment in support of laboratory courses and working with faculty to develop instructional and advanced protocols for the use of the instrumentation.
Equipment Technician (Equipment Technician I - Electro Mechanical)
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,090 - $4,606 per month (Step 1
- 7)
CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,090- $5,959 per month
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
This position is required to work in person on campus.
