The Production Planning Specialist will be responsible for planning crop sowing and harvesting schedules. To be successful in this role, the person will need to have horticultural knowledge and experience with crop cycles grown in greenhouses. The person will also need strong analytical skills, advanced level proficiency in Excel, and effective communication skills in Spanish and English.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience in greenhouse operations, specialty crop operations or agricultural supply chain/production planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Proficiency with production planning software.
  • Horticultural experience.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (speak, read, write).
  • Effective communicator and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities
  • Plan crop sowing and harvesting schedules.
  • Coordinate with greenhouses to optimize crop cycles.
  • Analyze production data and use advanced Excel functions.
  • Communicate status and changes to stakeholders in Spanish and English.
  • Collaborate with the production planning team.
Working Conditions
  • Climate-controlled office located on a farm.
  • Travel required to other farm locations within 10 minutes in San Marcos.
  • Paths in production can be muddy or dusty depending on weather.
  • Work outdoors and in greenhouses subject to high temperatures and sun exposure.
