Lusardi Construction Company is a full-service general contractor established in 1958. We have position openings for experienced Journeyman Carpenters on various educational facilities throughout San Diego County. This specific Journeyman Carpenter must be a graduate of an Apprenticeship Program.

This role is expected to travel and work through San Diego County to Riverside County.

We are looking for experienced Carpenters with experience working on large construction jobsites and most specifically on school facilities. The Carpenter role is essential in assisting the project team to ensure timely and successful completion of construction projects. Applicants must meet the definition of Skilled and Trained workforce requirements per A.B. 566.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintenance or remodeling of buildings or other structures
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor
• Perform material handling and storage
• Perform repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions
• Cutting, drilling, measuring, flooring, tiling and various installation procedures
• Handle, utilize and operate machines or equipment, including, but not limited to: small hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, etc.) and power tools, jackhammer, drill, chipping gun, skip loader, rough terrain forklift, aerial lift, scissor lift, compressor, generator (training and/or certification may be required prior to use)
• Assisting Superintendents as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Stand and/or walk for a full 8 hours
• Perform work from a standing, kneeling, and/or squatting position
• Climb and/or reach
• Sit for brief periods of time
• Push, pull, lift and carry heavy objects, including braces and objects up to 100 lbs
• Visually identify surroundings and potential hazards
• Listen to, hear, and understand verbal directions
• Work as a member of a team
• Understand safety instructions
• Read and understand written directions
• Measure materials and other distances
• Work outdoors, around dust, in the sun, and in various weather conditions, including hot/cold conditions
• Work at various heights, above ground level
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of a California DAS approved Carpenter Apprenticeship Program
• Strong working background in commercial concrete construction
• Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work and ability to travel

**Upon contingent offer of employment, a drug test will be processed.**

The pay range for this position of employment is expected to be between $68.96 - $73.96 /hr (base + fringe).
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
