Our client is seeking a Mitigation Field Supervisor - Restoration to join their franchise organization, which provides cleanup and repair services for residential and commercial properties damaged by water, fire, mold, storms, and other disasters.

The Mitigation Field Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day field operations of water, fire, mold, and related mitigation projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced restoration professional who can lead technicians, scope and document losses, coordinate schedules and emergency coverage, maintain equipment and vehicles, and ensure every job progresses efficiently from initial response through completion and handoff.

Success in this role requires an exceptional sense of urgency, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. The right person will not simply perform mitigation work—they will take ownership of the mitigation process, ensuring crews know what is expected, documentation is completed promptly, customers and adjusters are kept informed, and jobs continue moving without unnecessary delays.

• Lead day-to-day field operations for water, fire, mold, and other mitigation projects from initial response through completion and handoff
• Scope losses and ensure complete, accurate job documentation using company restoration systems and established protocols
• Complete field documentation promptly, with the expectation that job notes, photos, readings, and other required information are completed on-site or the same day whenever possible
• Ensure completed mitigation files move efficiently to estimating and the next phase of the project without unnecessary delays
• Lead, schedule, coach, and hold accountable a team of approximately 2-3 mitigation technicians, with the team expected to grow as business needs require
• Participate in the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of mitigation technicians
• Coordinate crews, equipment, job takedowns, drying progress, and schedules across multiple active projects
• Establish and manage appropriate on-call coverage for the mitigation team and participate in the rotation, stepping in when necessary to ensure emergency response needs are covered
• Serve as a key point of contact for customers and insurance adjusters, providing timely updates, setting clear expectations, and communicating with professionalism and empathy
• Identify challenges early, troubleshoot field issues, and take initiative to keep projects progressing without requiring constant direction
• Track and maintain mitigation equipment and ensure company vehicles are clean, stocked, serviced, and ready for response
• Maintain accurate and organized job records using restoration and company systems such as DASH, MICA, Dry Track, RMS, Xactimate, and other applicable platforms
• Use company-provided technology, including phone, iPad, and laptop, for company communication and job documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Collaborate closely with the Owner, Project Coordinator, estimator, technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth communication and timely project handoffs
• Maintain required certifications and follow applicable IICRC standards, company procedures, and industry best practices

• Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on restoration/mitigation experience with demonstrated experience independently managing water mitigation projects
• Previous field leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to direct, coach, and hold technicians accountable
• Active IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification required; AMRT and FSRT certifications strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of water mitigation processes, drying procedures, job scoping, equipment placement, monitoring, and project documentation
