San Marcos Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in San Marcos, Texas is looking for a qualified Full-Time Payroll Admin/Accounting Clerk to become part of our team!
As a Payroll Admin/Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for efficiently processing payrolls for approximately 60-70 employees on a semi-monthly basis as well as providing support to our Controller and accounting office team. Our office is big on cross-training, so we are looking for someone that is comfortable and willing to learn a variety of different tasks.
Responsibilities- Review, enter, and process semi-monthly payroll for both hourly, salary and commission-based employees.
- Safeguard employee information by maintaining accurate and organized records.
- Address payroll & benefit inquiries from employees.
- Process vacation requests and time-card adjustments.
- Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, payroll adjustments & invoicing.
- Assist in on-boarding new hires for various departments.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Overseeing of administrative tasks within the accounting office.
- Processing of manufacturer invoicing.
- Reconciliation of accounting schedules.
- Collaborate with dealership managers to ensure compliance with dealership policies and controls.
- Assist Controller with various administrative tasks.
- Assist accounting office team with a variety of tasks depending on needs (deal audit/process, AR/AP, title work, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting office (preferably automotive dealership).
- 1+ years of payroll experience.
- Proficiency with Dealer track DMS software as well as Netchex payroll system preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll administration, benefits administration, and/or human resources.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with accounting schedules.
- Ability to adhere to strict/tight deadlines.
- Must be professional, reliable and have a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task efficiently.
- Background check and driving record required. May be required to complete a pre-employment drug test.
- Monday-Friday schedule. Typically, 7am-4pm shifts (1-2 very early morning shifts per month to process payroll).
- Starting pay $18-$20 per Hour BOE.
