Senior Proposal Coordinator
Senior Proposal Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of compliance verification, review, and submission of grant proposals as well as conducting the final institutional review and clearance.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. At least two years of experience in proposal review, including budgets. Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations—including compliance areas (effort, human subjects, export control, national security)—and various funding source requirements (such as NIH, NSF, DOE, DoD, USDA/NIFA, foundation, and industry sponsors), and ability to interpret and explain complex regulations.
Familiarity with electronic submission portals (e.g., Grants.gov, E-Grants, Tex-grants, Research.gov). Demonstrated communication, customer service, conflict resolution, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate challenging situations professionally. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and strict deadlines. Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications - Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator (CPRA), or willingness to achieve certification. Experience with Kuali, Cayuse, SAP, Workday or other finance or research administration software. At least four years of research administration or sponsored programs experience, particularly in a university setting. Advanced Excel skills, Planner, Power Automate, or AI tools. Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
