- Assist the Corporate Safety Director in managing the existing safety program.
- Perform daily inspections of projects in the assigned division to ensure employees are adhering to company safety policies and procedures and complying with CFR 1926 standards.
- Assist Division Managers and Operations Managers with safety matters that arise, including development of site‑specific safety plans, emergency action plans, and safety documentation.
- Prepare and submit a weekly safety report to the Corporate Safety Director and Division Manager outlining any safety‑related issues and/or non‑compliance matters.
- Document all incidents and injuries and take appropriate action under the direction and in accordance with the corporate case management system(s).
- Assist in training, orientation, and coaching of employees.
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (“CHST”).
- OSHA Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction safety.
- Experience/education/understanding of excavation/trenches, shoring, confined space, fall protection, rigging, traffic control, and site safety plans.
- Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish is encouraged.
