About the RoleThe Field Safety Technician – Specialty Contracting supports and implements Tasman’s Health and Safety Program across specialty contracting projects. Based in San Marcos, TX, this role involves frequent travel to project sites nationwide, primarily supporting multi-family housing environments including demolition, abatement, renovation, roofing, siding, and HVAC work.
Responsibilities- Assist in planning projects from a health and safety perspective
- Develop and support Health & Safety Plans (HASPs) and Safe Work Plans
- Evaluate hazards and perform Activity Hazard Analyses
- Travel to job sites to provide training, conduct inspections, and support field teams
- Review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms daily
- Inspect safety equipment including PPE, fire extinguishers, and tools
- Assist sites in assessing and procuring appropriate PPE
- Deliver safety training and coaching in both structured and fast-paced environments
- Answer technical safety questions and provide real‑time field guidance
- Reinforce safety expectations and promote a proactive safety culture
- Collaborate with supervisors and crews to resolve field safety challenges
- Identify opportunities to improve safety practices and engagement
- Ensure field compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Bilingual (English & Spanish — fluent in speaking, reading, and writing)
- 5–7 years of field construction safety experience supporting multi‑site operations
- OSHA 30‑hour certification (minimum)
- Strong understanding of specialty construction trades (demolition, abatement, roofing, siding, HVAC, etc.)
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and digital safety platforms
- Ability to create and manage safety documentation, plans, and reports
- Strong communication, coaching, and training skills
- Calm decision‑making under pressure and during field incidents
- Strong hazard recognition and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to plan and coordinate travel efficiently
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish — fluent in speaking, reading, and writing)
- 5–7 years of field construction safety experience supporting multi‑site operations

- Pay: $36.00 – $42.00 per hour
