Excavation Foreman​/Operator

Job Description The Excavation Foreman / Operator oversees small teams on diverse commercial construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient excavation operations across multiple sites. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on equipment operation, and adherence to safety and quality standards while utilizing advanced technology such as GPS, surveying equipment, and telematics to optimize project outcomes.

• Operate heavy excavation equipment with precision and efficiency
• Supervise and coordinate small teams (1-5 workers) on-site
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site safety management
• Coordinate project activities and manage work schedules
• Perform routine maintenance on excavation equipment and troubleshoot issues
• Handle materials effectively to support project progress
• Report progress and challenges to project management
• Utilize GPS, surveying equipment, and telematics for operational control
• Maintain quality control throughout the excavation process

• 2+ years of experience in excavation and heavy equipment operation
• Proficient in operating various heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of site safety management and blueprint reading
• Experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong team leadership and time management skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
