Required Qualifications
  • Ability to proactively develop and execute compelling stories through video, photography and social media from concept to completion.
  • Experience creating and managing digital and social media initiatives across multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of business account management for social media channels.
  • Understanding of social media analytics and data tracking.
  • Portfolio demonstrating the ability to tell complex, engaging stories.
  • Experience in photography, video production/editing and/or graphic design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • One to two years of relevant full-time or graduate assistant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in public relations, electronic media, journalism, marketing, communication design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent tools such as Canva).
Job Description

Texas State Athletics is seeking a full‑time Creative Services Assistant to lead the department’s storytelling efforts and manage TXST Athletics’ social media channels. The role promotes the TXST brand, supports student‑athletes, and drives engagement for athletics events, increasing fan engagement, revenue and overall brand awareness.

This position focuses on digital storytelling, content distribution, brand management, project coordination and analytics support, collaborating closely with senior leadership to develop and execute a cohesive content strategy across multiple platforms.

Job Duties
  • Produce and manage creative content that tells compelling stories about TXST Athletics, highlighting the Bobcat experience and strengthening the TXST brand.
  • Promote departmental strategic goals, events and news across TXST Athletics’ digital and social platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and campus partners to maintain high‑quality website and social media storytelling content.
  • Coordinate content creation and distribution across digital and social channels.
  • Support TXST Brand Ambassadors in day‑to‑day operations, game coverage and special events.
  • Manage creative projects from concept through completion to highlight TXST student‑athletes, coaches and staff, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Assist in tracking and evaluating social media and digital performance metrics.
