Overview
Job responsibilities and qualifications for a center staff role focused on student supervision, operations, and safety.
Responsibilities- Assists students in adjusting to Center life by providing supervision, behavior modification, and acting as a mentor.
- Distribute dorm supplies to each dorm to ensure that students have the necessary supplies for maintaining a clean environment.
- Conduct daily inspections of student rooms Monday through Friday of each week.
- Ensure that each student receives a copy of the inspection sheet for their room.
- Ensure assigned dormitories are maintained in good repair by turning in work orders to the maintenance department.
- Repair and/or replace broken furniture, bulletin boards, and other minor repairs in the dormitories.
- Monitor and supervise students in the center cafeteria during the breakfast meal.
- Supervise the packing out of students who are being separated from the program during the school day.
- Ensure that the department supply building is well maintained, neat, and clean at all times.
- Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
- Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property.
- Adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Foster and sustain a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
- Attend all required staff training opportunities.
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some college in Human Services area preferred.
- One-year related experience.
- Experience working with youth.
- Valid in-state driver’s license.
