Substitute Instructor

Job Description

• Adequately prepares for classroom instruction
• Keeps students motivated and interested in the program and ensures students set realistic attainable goals
• Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom
• Accounts for students when they are under your responsibility
• Maintains accurate student records and files
• Adheres to all DOL, Company, Center and department guidelines
• Adheres to the guidelines determined by outside agencies
• Develops corrective action plans for students with deficiencies
• Monitors statistical data related to GED test and scores
• Develops instructional plans using TABE diagnostic for those students who do not meet the requirement
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Possession of, or eligibility for, temporary teaching certification in the State in which the center is located preferred
