Position Description- Dept. seeks to develop pool of candidates for temporary/non‑nured faculty to teach in Communication Studies.
- Temporary/non‑nured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester based on student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent on satisfactory annual performance evaluations, continuity of funding, and departmental/school need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on department needs.
- Posting is for fall 2024, spring 2025, and summer 2025 semesters.
- This posting does not necessarily convey that a need currently exists. Applicants for a pool position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration if a need arises.
- Positions are subject to availability of funds.
- Minimum master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in teaching field, generally required; specific educational requirements vary by position.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
