Position DescriptionThe College of Health Professions seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in the Department of Respiratory Care. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand each semester. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon completion of mandatory training modules and satisfactory annual performance evaluations, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need.
Successful candidates may teach at the Round Rock campuses, in hospitals and/or online, depending on academic department needs. This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 semesters. Applicants for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration if the need arises. Positions are subject to availability of funds.
Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious teaching experience is preferred.
