The Department of Accounting in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State invites applications for an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The position requires the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, conduct research leading to high-quality peer-reviewed publications, and provide service to students, the department, the profession, and the university.
Required Qualifications All Ranks:- Ph.D. in accounting or D.B.A. with a major in accounting from a school with AACSB-accreditation or equivalent accreditation.
- The successful candidate must possess qualifications required of Scholarly Academics (SA) under AACSB and Texas State standards (available at https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).
- The successful candidate must have at least one publication on the Financial Times 50 journal listing.
All areas of accounting will be considered.
The successful applicant will receive the appropriate rank and title based on university and department established standards.
Preferred Qualifications- Certified Public Accountant certification and/or significant work experience in at least one teaching area.
- Evidence of research potential with the ability to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
- Indication that candidate can effectively teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
