About this roleThe EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting and promoting environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role helps maintain a safe workplace by identifying risks, implementing safety initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental stewardship.

What You’ll Be Doing:- Assisting in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs and policies.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conducting workplace safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses; documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Supporting safety training programs for employees and leadership.
- Maintaining required safety documentation, reports, and recordkeeping.
- Monitoring environmental compliance requirements related to waste, emissions, and chemical management.
- Participating in safety committee meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Tracking safety metrics and helping prepare compliance and performance reports.
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, preferred.
- Possesses 2–5 years of EHS or safety compliance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferred.
- Has relevant certifications (such as safety or environmental certifications), a plus.
- Can display a strong understanding of OSHA standards and safety compliance requirements.
- Is knowledgeable of environmental regulations, preferred.
- Can conduct root cause analysis and incident investigations.
- Has strong communication and training facilitation skills.
- Is detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Can work cross‑functionally with operations and leadership teams.
- Has experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting with exposure to operational noise, machinery, and production environments.
- Able to move up to 50lbs.
- Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
- Can wear PPE.
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
