Cobb Fendley is seeking an experienced H&H Senior Project Engineer in our Frisco, Austin, San Antonio, McAllen, San Marcos, or Fort Worth offices.
Responsibilities- Complete entire design and analysis for complex projects or specific clients, ensuring latest manuals and criteria are met; sign and seal plans.
- Coordinate work with internal teams and external partners (sub‑contractors, clients) to ensure design and analysis tasks are synchronized.
- Adhere to company QA/QC processes and procedures.
- Oversee work of others to ensure QA/QC is met.
- Work with project manager to complete all levels of the assignment.
- Lead internal and external training as a subject‑matter expert in the discipline.
- Problem‑solve complex issues.
- Engage with clients daily and attend meetings.
- Assist with marketing and project interviews; review project scopes including budget and schedule.
- Understand financial management and adhere to project schedule.
- Work on projects that include delineating drainage areas, determining peak flows, selecting modeling software, technical writing, GIS basics, lidar/terrain, flow‑path/outfall identification, Arc Hydro, Sheetflow analysis, defining drainage boundaries, hydrology criteria, land‑use categories, time‑of‑concentration calculations, stormwater runoff calculations, hydraulic calculations, Mannings equation, mitigation analysis, and static versus dynamic studies.
- Utilize software applications such as EPA SWMM, XP SWMM, PC SWMM, Info Works, HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, Excel, Arc Map, Arc Hydro, Stormcad, Geo Pak Drainage, Micro Station, AutoCAD, WSRD, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
