Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

Our client, a growing, multi-location business, is seeking a strong Controller to lead corporate accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and accounting operations. This is a highly visible role supporting a complex operating environment with locations across the U.S. and a centralized corporate finance function.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting foundation, experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building scalable processes, improving reporting discipline, and partnering closely with executive leadership.

• Lead the corporate accounting function, including month-end close, consolidations, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for a multi-location, multi-entity business
• Manage and develop the accounting team, including corporate accounting, general ledger, close, reporting, and related functions
• Own consolidation processes and ensure consistent accounting practices across locations
• Partner with finance, operations, and executive leadership to provide clear financial visibility and reporting
• Drive process improvements around close timelines, account reconciliations, reporting accuracy, and accounting workflows
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls
• Support audit, tax, compliance, and other external reporting requirements
• Leverage Net Suite to improve reporting, automation, and accounting process efficiency
• Assist with special projects related to systems, integrations, acquisitions, new locations, and business growth

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• Strong corporate accounting background with experience in financial statement preparation and consolidations
• Experience in a multi-entity, multi-location, or distributed operating environment
• Net Suite experience strongly preferred
• Prior team leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop accounting professionals
• Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, internal controls, GAAP, and financial reporting
• Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership
