Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an IMC Med/Surg Telemetry position in San Marcos, TX, requiring at least 1 year of telemetry or related nursing experience and active TX or compact RN licensure.

• Located in a hospital intermediate care (IMC) Med/Surgical unit,

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification required (AHA only),

• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only),

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty,

• BSN preferred,

• Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration,

• 2 professional references required for consideration,

• Copies of all active certifications required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation,

• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness,

• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families,

• Educates patients, family members, and caregivers and identifies appropriate resources,

• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member; onboarding includes organizational and Med/Surg-specific competency validation,

• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
