The Procurement Lead manages day-to-day operational and tactical buying activities to ensure uninterrupted material flow supporting Noveon’s magnet manufacturing operations. This role owns purchase order execution, supplier delivery performance, and inventory replenishment, translating production demand signals into timely, cost-effective procurement actions. The Procurement Lead also owns spend analytics and supplier performance reporting, manages structural supply risk for critical materials, and partners closely with production, planning, and accounts payable to maintain continuity of supply for raw materials, MRO, and indirect spend.
This role requires a rare combination of strategic thinking, technical fluency in rare earth and advanced materials markets, and hands‑on procurement execution capability.

What You’ll Be Doing- Executing and managing purchase orders from requisition through receipt, ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, lead times, and delivery dates.
- Converting demand and replenishment signals into timely buying actions to maintain target inventory and safety stock levels without overstocking.
- Expediting and de‑expediting orders to align supply with shifting production schedules and resolve shortages, delays, and discrepancies.
- Monitoring and driving supplier delivery performance (OTIF), holding vendors accountable to committed lead times and quality requirements.
- Owning monthly spend analytics and supplier scorecard reporting, including savings pipeline tracking and procurement KPI reporting, and present insights to supply chain and finance leadership.
- Developing and maintaining supply risk‑mitigation strategies, including assurance of supply, single‑source risk reduction, alternative‑supplier qualification, and exposure to tariff and critical‑material availability.
- Monitoring market conditions and pricing for assigned categories, providing market intelligence to inform sourcing and inventory decisions for critical raw materials.
- Resolving invoice, receipt, and PO discrepancies in partnership with Accounts Payable and Receiving.
- Maintaining accurate item master, vendor, pricing, and lead‑time data in the ERP system.
- Managing MRO and indirect spend buying, identifying tactical cost‑savings and consolidation opportunities.
- Supporting strategic sourcing initiatives by providing transactional data, spend analysis, and supplier performance input.
- Ensuring procurement activity complies with internal controls, approval authority matrices, and audit requirements.
- Has a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or a related field
- Brings 5+ years of progressive procurement and supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Has a proven ability to negotiate complex, long‑term supply agreements with significant dollar value
- Possesses strong financial acumen — comfortable with cost modeling, TCO analysis, and working capital trade‑offs
