Overview
We are now hiring for a Quality Inspector for a Manufacturing company in San Marcos, TX. Please submit your resume to this posting and call our office at .
Pay: $21/hr + $1/hr shift differential
Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm (Will train on 1st shift for the first few weeks M-F 6AM-2:30PM)
Job DescriptionThe Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting a variety of receiving, finished and in process goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
Responsibilities- Test inbound product from our suppliers to ensure compliance with the database, company drawings, specifications and requirements.
- Conduct in process or final product inspections as required to ensure compliance with both Thermon and customer requirements.
- Conduct internal audits as required by the QMS.
- Conduct process verification checks as required by the work instructions.
- Follow and help support the creation of standard work instructions to improve the quality of work in your area.
- Recommend improvements to controlled documents such as inspection and test procedures, standard work instructions, job orders, etc.
- Document NCRs for receiving, in process and final inspection.
- Work with individuals from across the Company to achieve goals.
- Work with internal teams to resolve product or compliance issues.
- Provide training to peers on updates to process or product specifications as required.
- Attend required training to keep up to date with latest industry trends and standards.
- Other job duties as required by management.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.
- Able to listen to directions and follow through.
- Able to perform in a high-volume, results-focused work environment.
- Able to help troubleshoot and diagnose product or compliance issues.
- Able to lift and maneuver parts (up to 50 lbs).
- Able to quickly learn technical concepts and product applications.
- Able to use hand tools and power tools.
- Able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision (i.e. self-motivated).
- Good mathematical aptitude:
Able to read tape measure and work with fractions and metric measurements. - High regard for safety.
- Superior attention to detail and quality.
- Superior hand-eye co-ordination.
- Superior verbal and written English communication skills.
- Values maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Values meeting the expectations and requirements of customers.
- Values teamwork.
Minimum:
- Two or more years of industrial work experience.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of how to use calibrated measuring tools.
Prefer candidates with the following experience:
- Electrical assembly and/or testing experience.
- Worked in an ISO 9001 facility.
- Worked in a facility using lean practices.
