About this roleThe Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming materials and shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely inventory updates. This role supports warehouse, production, and purchasing teams by maintaining accurate receiving records and ensuring materials are properly documented and stored.

What You’ll Be Doing:- Receiving incoming shipments and verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspecting materials for damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
- Accurately entering receipts into ERP/WMS systems.
- Labelling and routing materials to appropriate storage or production areas.
- Communicating shortages, overages, or discrepancies to Purchasing and supervisors.
- Coordinating with warehouse staff for proper material handling and storage.
- Maintaining receiving logs and documentation for audits and inventory control.
- Assisting with cycle counts and inventory verification when required.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Has a High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possesses previous warehouse, receiving, or logistics experience, preferred.
- Has basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP or inventory systems.
- Can read packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders.
- Has a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experienced in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Has a Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain), preferred.
- Experienced with ERP/WMS systems, preferred.
- Knowledgeable of domestic and international shipping procedures, preferred.
- Able to move up to 50lbs.
- Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
- Is capable of making repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs.
