About This RoleThe Material Handler – Furnace is responsible for supporting furnace operations by unloading processed materials, handling sample and production blocks, and preparing equipment for subsequent loads in accordance with established work instructions. This role also assists with cleaning and material movement to ensure efficient workflow and safe operations.

What You’ll Be Doing- Unloading furnace loads following completion of processing.
- Marking block locations accurately per process requirements.
- Pulling and identifying sample blocks for inspection and testing.
- Delivering remaining production blocks to the cleaning area.
- Preparing the furnace for the next load in accordance with work instructions.
- Moving used graphite trays and lids to the cleaning area.
- Assisting with cleaning graphite trays and lids when time permits.
- Scanning sample blocks using Ecco and ensuring proper tracking.
- Delivering sample blocks to the cutting department.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures.
- Basic computer or scanning skills preferred.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by the role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to move up to 50lbs.
- Can wear PPE.
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
- Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs.
- Can withstand the manufacturing/furnace environment with exposure to heat, dust, and industrial equipment.
