Priority Personnel is hiring a Scructural Fabricator Welder for a company located in San Marcos, TX. Pay rate: $/hour.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday/7:00am-3:30pm with occasional OT.
- Bend, cut, and shape rebar to create sculptural and structural frames according to project specifications and designs.
- Perform TIG and Arc welding on steel and other metal components per project requirements and blueprints.
- Assemble and weld metal parts to create frames, supports, and other structural elements for GFRC projects.
- Weld rebar to structural frames to ensure stability and alignment of sculptures.
- Inspect and test welded joints to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
- Apply Lath over rebar frames.
- Clad frames in EPS foam.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and team members to understand project requirements and provide input on fabrication and welding techniques.
- Maintain fabrication and welding equipment in good working condition and report any necessary repairs.
- Use heavy machinery, including telehandlers, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained.
- Assist in the preparation and setup of materials and work areas.
- Maintain accurate records of fabrication and welding activities, including time, materials used, and project progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Steel toed boots.
- Technical certification or vocational training in welding and fabrication preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in rebar bending and welding, including TIG and Arc welding, in a construction or manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of rebar fabrication, welding techniques, materials, and structural integrity.
- Experience with heavy machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers, and scissor lifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Physical ability to perform fabrication and welding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to welding and construction.
