Our ideal Plasma Processor has great organizational, computer, and trouble‑shooting skills, and feels comfortable being exposed to extreme temperatures. Handles responsibilities in many operational areas of the plasma center such as maintaining accurate donor files, shipping, and inventory control.
Primary Responsibilities:- Collects and processes donor samples for processing and testing.
- Records weight of product and samples.
- Labels samples and freezes units for final packing within required timeframe.
- Packs units for final shipment; packs samples and prepares shipping box to send samples to the testing lab.
- Monitors stored products and reports working conditions of equipment.
- Maintains active communication and quality.
Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids potentially containing infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32 °F while working in a plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment such as protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear is required. Tasks include standing for 4 to 6 hours per day, bending, twisting, frequent hand movements, precise finger coordination, light lifting up to 15 lbs on occasion, and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Hearing acuity, color perception, near vision, and far vision must be correctable in one eye to 20/30 and to 20/100 in the other eye. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and listen to information presented orally or in written form is essential.
