Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Comply with safety and environment guidelines, policies, and regulations.
- Read and interpret the guideline of the PWHT procedures.
- Review sketches for material types and wall thickness.
- Troubleshoot problems and repair as needed.
- Work closely with bay loaders to have spools moved around.
- Work closely with QC to get procedures on stressing spools according to job requirements.
- Must be able to run overhead crane and know how to rig pipe.
- Set up welds for local and/or furnace.
- Be able to identify and protect all flange faces, thread ends and specialty parts that require heat thread.
- Properly block or chock spools in furnace.
- Make sure all PWHT calibrations are within due date.
- Installing, aligning, and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines.
- Using hand tools and precision measuring instruments as needed.
- Observes operation and verifies conformance of machined work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments.
- Reads blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications (dimensions and tolerances) and tooling instructions (fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and cutting tools).
- Processes production jobs as required.
- Completes production paperwork and inspection procedures as directed.
- Reports any discrepancies to management.
- Maintains tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
- Complies with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
- Perform all scheduled daily maintenance as required.
- Train other personnel as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED; preferred. - Experience:
1 year furnace and local stress experience. - Preferred Experience:
