RoleDescription:
The Roll Former Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in San Marcos, TX, responsible for operating and maintaining New Tech roll forming equipment used to produce standing seam metal roof panels. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines according to specifications, monitoring production runs, measuring finished parts for quality, and adjusting settings to ensure accurate dimensions and consistent output. The role involves loading raw materials, setting up machines, performing basic preventive maintenance and repair, reporting equipment issues, and managing a clean and organized job site.
The Roll Former Tech collaborates with warehouse and production team members to meet deadlines, follow safety protocols, and support efficient workflow across the facility.
- Experience driving a 1 ton truck and dual axle trailer.
- Ability to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot roll forming or similar metal fabrication machinery, with attention to safety and equipment care.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, including understanding of tools, machine components, and routine maintenance practices.
- Strong measurement and quality-check skills, including reading a tape measure, using gauges, and following product specifications.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and work in a manufacturing environment while following safety procedures.
- Reliable time management, ability to follow production schedules, and work effectively as part of a team on-site.
- Good communication skills and willingness to receive and follow instructions from supervisors and experienced technicians.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in sheet metal, construction trades, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to learning new processes, maintaining a safe workplace, and producing consistent, high-quality work.
