OverviewThe Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are met. This role requires a strong people leader who can motivate, develop, and manage a team while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Onsite). 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos, TX.
- Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achieved
- Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet production demands in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Monitor production performance metrics (e.g., throughput, downtime, scrap, OEE) and implement corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing best practices
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees, including training, performance management, and employee engagement
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-first work culture
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions
- Address employee relations issues in partnership with HR, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to environmental and regulatory standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and efficiency gains
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, maintenance, quality) to optimize production processes
- Ensure products meet all quality specifications and regulatory requirements
- Partner with the quality team to investigate and resolve production issues
- Drive accountability for quality at all levels of the production team
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field)
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and driving performance
- Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and operational metrics
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP or production management systems
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Results‑driven with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift) in a manufacturing environment
- Frequent use of hands for operating equipment, handling materials, and performing repetitive motions
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25‑50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs or ladders as needed
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, cold, dust, and machinery
- Visual acuity to monitor production processes, read documents/screens, and identify safety or quality issues
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel‑toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and other safety gear
- Capability to respond quickly to emergency situations and maintain situational awareness in a fast‑paced setting
