Responsibilities
The PMHNP will serve in an expanded nursing role, diagnosing medical conditions and prescribing therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with, and under the direction of, a licensed physician in the State of Texas. Primary duties include performing history and physical examinations (H&P’s) per hospital guidelines, assisting the physician with patient care and treatment within licensure limits, providing consultation as needed, covering for psychiatrists, and maintaining a rotating on‑call schedule: 2 weekday on‑call days per month and 1 weekend on‑call day every six weeks.
Qualifications- Licensed RN and Certified Registered PMHNP, meeting all requirements of the State of Texas.
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience, including at least 1 year in psychiatric nursing.
- Documented background, experience, training, competence, and adherence to the ethics of the profession.
