- Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Educates patients, family members, and caregivers and identifies appropriate resources.
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member; onboarding includes organizational and Med/Surg-specific competency validation.
- All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days.
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state currently in hand.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (telemetry or related).
- BSN preferred.
- Current BLS certification (AHA only) required.
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only) required.
- Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration.
- 2 professional references required for consideration.
- Copies of all active certifications required for consideration.
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates.
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Includes premium medical, dental, vision and life insurance beginning day one of the assignment, generous 401(k) match, and substantial housing stipends.
