Overview

The Quality Analyst - Wire Plant leads the development, control, and improvement of products, processes, and quality systems to help ensure conformance to customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. Working under the guidance of the Quality Manager, the Quality Analyst applies foundational quality engineering methods, data analysis, problem‑solving tools, and risk‑based thinking to improve customer satisfaction, optimize process performance, reduce defects, and strengthen Quality Mgt System compliance in supporting and aligning with Wire Plant (aka Value Stream, VS) objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Leads and performs internal audits per Quality Mgt's expectations (schedule, approach, reporting)
  • Hosts Customer visits and audits; ensuring agreed‑upon actions are accepted and closed on time
  • Facilitates timely replies to Customer Complaints (CCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and coordinate 8

    Ds (particularly Containment, Root Cause Analysis, and Verification of Effectiveness)
  • Contributes to Value Stream (VS) continual improvement of its product and process documentation
  • Facilitates VS material review board for nonconforming material reports (NCRs)
  • Manages the VS test process, personnel, and dispositioning of results
  • Implements quality initiatives, including Control Plans, production traceability, Inspection requirements, specs, and recordkeeping, Quality training, etc. as requested by Quality or VS management
  • With Engineering and SQE, ensures new equipment, suppliers, and materials are production qualified
  • Works with VS leadership to reduce failures, scrap, and rework in support of goals
  • Contributes to VS efficiencies and effectiveness by supporting Manufacturing Engineering work
  • Partners with Operations and Engineering to address quality issues and improve process performance
  • Leads or backs up site‑wide calibration system and ongoing compliance of its metrology
Required Qualifications
  • BS in engineering, quality, industrial technology, manufacturing, or a related technical field
  • 2 years' experience in quality or engineering supporting a mechanical or continuous flow product for an ISO 9001 or similarly certified organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in plastics extrusion, production wire spooling, or other similar products
  • Experience leading quality techniques (8D, FMEA, SPC, APQP, PPAP), and quality audits and/or 5S
  • ASQ certification (CQM, CQE, CQT, CRE, etc.)
  • Experience in a QMS greater than ISO 9001 (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 22163, AS9100)
  • Experience in training and developing others in Quality techniques
  • Understanding of ERP/MES systems, MS business products (Power BI, Atlas reports), and/or Atlassian business tools (Jira, Confluence, Rovo, Trello, etc.)
