Member Specialist

Position Summary...What you’ll do...

• Provides member service and maintains the checkout area.
• Resolves member issues and concerns, promotes Sam’s Club products and services.
• Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology.
• Processes member purchases, assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
• Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
• Handles merchandise properly, corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
• Maintains entrance and exit areas, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.
• Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
• Maintains a safe shopping environment and executes emergency response procedures.
• Supports security practices, observes potential criminal activity, and maintains required documentation.
• Provides training to Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, new technology, and tool functionality.
• Encourages continuous learning and process improvement.
• Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, zoning area, and arranging merchandise.
• Identifies shrink, damages, and implements action plans to reduce them.
• Collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners to meet priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
• Supports a culture of belonging, teamwork, integrity, and customer focus.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
