Job Overview

San Marcos Treatment Center is seeking a talented and dynamic National Business Development Representative to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!

Our National Business Development Representative acts as a liaison between the facility and referral sources and implements service-oriented action plans responsive to referral source needs. The role requires traveling to assigned territories, effectively planning scheduled trips in advance with pre-arranged quality appointments with various referral sources. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Business Development Team, the representative presents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community.

Weekly travel within the assigned territory is required.

Travel Requirements

Travel is required in this position. Ideal candidates will be based in NC, SC, OH, VA or MD.

Travel expectation: 95%+.

Military experience highly preferred.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Military experience also preferred.
  • Experience: Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred. Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid Driver’s License.
  • Skills & Knowledge: Good verbal and written communication skills. Prefer knowledge of the behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric treatment and age‑specific programming. Must possess demonstrated business development concepts and sales abilities, competency in computer usage, and excellent written and oral communication. Creativity and flexibility, skills in data collection analysis and interpretation, record of adherence to deadlines, customer service skills, willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
