Required Qualifications- Skilled in installing and repairing irrigation systems and controllers.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, work orders and assignments.
- Ability to perform (at times) manual digs and strenuous work in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one in 90 days.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Must have at least intermediate experience with pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, measuring tape, pipe threaders, volt meters and electric valve finders.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and backflows.
- Knowledge of basic safety principles and PPE.
The Irrigation Technician II is responsible for maintaining and servicing all irrigation systems on campus.
Job Duties- Check alarms
- Make repairs to systems
- PM systems
- Audit systems
- Install controllers
- Repair valves and hydrometers
- Troubleshooting
- Understanding of manuals and designs
- Use of Dingo / trenchers
- Installing systems
- Knowledge of voltmeter and wire locator
- Meter Readings
- Use of Email
- Use of Go‑Work Mgmt (AIM on Phone) and AIM on desktop
- Use of SAP
- Use of Work orders
