Overview
Our mechanic will be assigned to a dedicated concrete paving crew and will be with them full time.
Responsibilities- Assembles, sets up, adjusts, maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment
- Inspects and diagnoses machinery to determine need for and cost of repairs
- Tests, installs new or repaired units back into equipment
- Performs minor tune ups to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the equipment
- Understands system controls, operation, and configurations
- Familiar with transportation of equipment
- Understand that the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) and two+ years related mechanic experience and/or training
- Experience with slipform pavers, concrete placements, and cure/texture machines; experience with Gunner & Zimmerman (G&Z) and Gomaco is a plus
- Mechanical, welding, and electrical experience preferred
- Ability to read and speak fluent English for safety purposes
