We're a small team providing the Hays County area with honest, reliable appliance repairs. With our new owner we've grown steadily by focusing on doing the job right, and we're continuing to build. This is not a corporate environment. You'll see your impact every day and work directly with the people running the business. We'll be upfront. As a growing company, we don't currently offer benefits, but can be expected as we expand.

The Role:

You'll start as a Trainee Appliance Repair Technician for the first 4–6 months. During this time, you'll ride along with an experienced technician, learning hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and customer communication. You won't be rushed into working alone. The goal is to build real skill and confidence. As you progress, you'll transition into running your own service calls independently.

What You'll Learn and Do:
Ride along and assist on daily service calls, learn how to diagnose and repair appliances, support with disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly, learn how to communicate with customers professionally, use mobile software for job notes and documentation, help keep the work van organized and stocked, progress toward handling your own calls.

Brands You'll Learn About:
Whirlpool, Maytag, Kitchen Aid, GE, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG, Bosch, and other major brands.

What We're Looking For:

This role is for someone who wants to learn a trade and grow with a company. You should: be dependable and show up on time, be willing to learn and take direction, have basic mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working with tools, communicate clearly and respectfully, be open to feedback and improvement. This is not a good fit if you are looking for a short-term or low-effort job.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license with a clean record, reliable transportation, ability to lift to 50 lbs regularly, ability to work in tight spaces and different environments, ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Compensation and Growth:
Trainee pay: $17–$22.50/hour based on experience. After training (typically 4–6 months): $25/hour once you are running calls independently. Earning potential of $60K–$100K annually as you grow.

What You Can Expect:
Paid training and EPA certification support, pay increases as your skills improve, a realistic workload once independent: 6–8 calls per day, local routes, where possible, to reduce travel time, clear path to lead technician or service manager, no mandatory weekends. As we grow, additional benefits such as health coverage, retirement options, and incentives will be added.
