Patcher/Dry Finisher
This position removes imperfections in finishes, repairs finishes and other surface damages such as spawls, cracks and honeycombs and finishes smooth surfaces, while adhering to the Company's operational and safety policies, procedures and work rules.
The essential job functions include:
- Clean chipped area and feel and observe surface to determine if it is rough or uneven.
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface.
- Operate acetylene torch burring exposed cable ends.
- Assess and ensure exposed cable ends are recessed properly.
- Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using grinders and rubbing stone.
- Cut out damaged areas to repair concrete.
- Restore concrete surfaces, using appropriate compounds, mortar and epoxy.
- Smooth surface and obtain specified finish.
- Modify concrete beams to QC specifications.
- Polish surface, using polishing or surfacing machine.
- Attend safety trainings as directed.
