Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour.

Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt.
Location:
Jacksonville, Florida.
Travel:
Up to 75% travel required throughout the Southeast and other project locations as assigned.
Reports To:
Project Manager.
The Drywall Installer / Drywall Laborer supports drywall installation, finishing, and general construction activities under the direction of a Foreman, Lead Installer, or Project Leadership. This role assists with project setup, material handling, drywall installation, finishing preparation, and maintaining a safe, organized job site. This position provides an entry point into the construction trades and offers opportunities to develop skills in drywall installation, finishing, and specialty contracting disciplines.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing Drywall Installation & Finishing Support
- Assist with drywall installation by measuring, cutting, and positioning drywall panels.
- Support attaching drywall to walls and ceilings using screws, nails, and adhesives.
- Assist with taping, mudding, sanding, and light texturing of drywall surfaces.
- Mix drywall compounds and prepare materials for finishing activities.
- Follow project plans, layouts, and instructions to ensure accurate installation.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Organize materials and maintain clean work areas.
- Perform masking and dust control activities using plastic sheeting, tape, and protective barriers.
- Assist with equipment setup and job site preparation.
- Support other trades and construction activities as needed.
- Clean, maintain, and organize tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and site‑specific requirements.
- Wear required PPE and maintain a strong safety mindset.
- Help maintain safe, orderly, and professional job sites.
- Work effectively with supervisors, crew members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude on all projects.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support project success.
- Ability to perform physically demanding construction labor.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain organization and cleanliness on job sites.
- Basic understanding of English for safety communications and job instructions.
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn construction trades.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively for project assignments (up to 75%).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous construction or labor experience.
- Experience with drywall installation, taping, mudding, or finishing.
- OSHA safety training or certifications.
- General construction experience.
This role operates primarily on active residential and commercial construction sites.
Field Conditions- Indoor and outdoor work environments.
- Exposure to dust, debris, noise, and changing weather conditions.
- Work in active construction settings.
- May require working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Frequent travel between project locations.
- Regular overnight travel and temporary assignments away from home may be required.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and repetitive motion.
- Regular use of hands and arms to handle materials and tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work overhead for extended periods.
- Heavy physical effort required (50+ pounds).
- Full-time.
- Hours vary based on project schedules and business needs.
- May include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- Travel assignments may require extended workdays and overnight stays.
- Up to 75% travel required based on project location and workload.

Qualifications
Construction or labor experience preferred but not required.
Basic familiarity with hand and power tools preferred.
Willingness to learn drywall installation and finishing techniques.
